"If you could only have one social network to use as your main tool in recruiting, which one would it be?" This question was deftly posed to the panel by Chris Hoyt, the ending keynote speaker for the event at which I presented last week. I was on a panel for Jobing.com’s Spring Symposium with some colleagues, Marianthe Verver, Dennis Smith, and Mariannella Fuentes. Immediately after Chris asked this, the opening keynote, Joel Cheesman, flashed what can only be described as an evil grin from the audience, as if he suspected Chris of lobbing soft balls to the panel.
Three out of four of us said LinkedIn would be our first choice, with Twitter being a close second. Mariannella said Facebook because that platform works better for her kind of recruiting.
I had already sort of answered this same question a couple of weeks before in a wrap-up video after speaking to the DFWTRN at their March luncheon.
